ABOUT FURTHER THAN THE EDGE

Further Than The Edge Productions —

was set up for the production and performance of theatre plays, with a focus on new work, working to best practice in equal opportunities, and where possible with the wider community.

is made up of 3 main co-producers/members, Jax Marsh, Victor Maldonado and headed up by Rowenna Mortimer, combining their different experiences in theatre production.

is currently producing The Morphea by Rowenna Mortimer. In 2018/2019 the group produced Mary, Mary… about Wollstonecraft and her ideas in ‘Vindication’, an ACE funded project at the Bloomsbury Festival and the Wollstonecraft academic conference event.

Previous productions: Libration by Luisa Cunille, Steiner Theatre – ACE lottery funded, and The Struggle of the Dogs & the Black by Bernard-Marie Koltes, Teatro Technis.

We work collaboratively with other creatives, freelancers and members on a project by project basis – so get in touch via the Contact page if you would like to be involved or to introduce yourself as an artist or performer.

Rowenna Mortimer
Co-Producer, Writer

Rowenna trained at CSSD and London University, and began writing as a performer with the Teatro Experimental de Cali, Colombia, as part of a collective creation process for La Femme Douce, a site specific performance at Plessis Theatre, France

  • I Am Not Freda – a dramatic monologue for House Letters 2020
  • Mary, Mary… Bloomsbury Festival 2018 and Wollstonecraft conference event 2019
  • Walking Right Into It – an article for Movement, Dance & Drama April 2022
  • Here, a two-hander stage play shortlisted for the Radius Festival of Drama, 2022
  • Morphea, selected as part of the New Wave Theatre Programme, Bloomsbury Festival 2023

Tasha Coupland Eve
Green Advisor

Tasha has spent her professional life using her many talents in education, interpreting and project management, whilst at the same time developing her skills in all things green!

She has a background in forest gardening and permaculture and currently coordinates a community garden project for environmental education charity ecoActive. Tasha also knows how to use a camera pretty well and was production photographer for Mary, Mary…

Jacqueline Marsh
Costume & Prop Sorceress, Safeguarding Lead

Jacqueline is English and Hungarian and started out as an actor. After completing a BA (Hons) in History with associated Drama in Winchester, Jacqueline focused on her drama training at ALRA (South) with a Postgraduate in acting, The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, London. After graduating, she toured with several theatre companies including the UK and Hungary and with Star Dome (Interaction London.)

This was later followed by a PGCE in Drama at CSSD. She has extensive experience in education and drama, all topped by running a drama department! Her first love is for all things prop and costume, wherein she weaves her magic.

Victor Maldonado
Co-Producer

Victor trained in theatre with La Mama theatre company in Bogota, Colombia, before spending most of his life involved in politics and as a community worker in both Colombia and the UK.
